Biva is a development professional with 8 years of experience in research, program management and grant writing. She is trained in qualitative research from the Washington University in St. Louis where her research was published in peer-reviewed journals. Biva also worked at the Children's Investment Fund Foundation, New Delhi where she partnered with on-ground NGOs to implement programs around sexual and reproductive health, nutrition, and WASH. Previously, Biva led the Social Impact portfolio at Quilt.AI - a technology firm that uses big data to tackle issues like online violence and misinformation. She managed partner relations and conducted research studies for major program partners like the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and UN agencies. Currently, she supports Women’s Fund Asia with their annual report and advocacy resources.

Hugo Pilate (he/him)

Hugo is a service designer specialized in the creation of participatory experiences and user research. His work consists of providing the necessary structure for diverse groups of individuals to come together and successfully work effectively. In 2020, after spending over eight years working across different industries (mobility, sexual and reproductive health education, financial inclusion, clean energy), Hugo decided to focus his practice on city-making by seeking out clients crafting more desirable cities: scaling access to renovation services for dutch homeowners, futuring exercises on improving social cohesion in The Hague, and collaborations with urban planners to improve the mobility infrastructure in Rotterdam.

Komal Jain (they/them)

Komal is an artist and designer-researcher based in Bangalore, India. They graduated in Exhibition Design from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. Their current works explore the anthropocentric gaze on non-human surroundings through the lens of gender and sexuality. Some of their previous exhibitions were in collaboration with the Science Gallery Bengaluru, Ars Electronica, Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. They have been a grantee for the British Council's Creating Heroines Project. In March 2023, they opened an exhibition, Ever Met an 'Ugly' Flower? at the National Centre of Biological Sciences and are currently working on a research-exhibition titled, Queering Public Health Messaging with Queer Archive for Memory, Reflection and Activism Archival Project at National Law School of India University and India Foundation for the Arts. Their work has been presented in conferences such as the “Designing for Children, Play + Learn” and Pune Design Festival.

Nikita D'cruz (she/her)

Nikita is the Founder of Koshika, which works for the health of women and children of tribal villages within the Panna Tiger Reserve (Madhya Pradesh). Koshika is building better health practices through one-to-one counselling, access to health services and support during emergencies to tackle extremely high infant death rates. Nikita is a former India Fellow and a Young India Fellow. She holds a Master’s degree from the Habitat School of Tata Institute of Social Sciences.

Oshin Siao Bhatt (she/her)

Oshin is a researcher and creative practitioner with a background in Sociology and Design Research. She has worked extensively in the space of reproductive health and technology, at the intersection of design, academia, and the development sector. She is interested in the interlinkages between society, biotechnologies, and design and is currently working as a Doctoral Student at the Science, Technology and Society Division of Chalmers University of Technology, in Gothenburg, Sweden, with a specific focus on gender and medical technologies. Her PhD project is following the development of the Artificial Womb and its impact on the everyday enactments of care work within neonatal ICU wards and as well as on the understanding of parental responsibility and reproduction at large.

Shraddha Rawat (she/her)

Shraddha has 13 years of experience in the field of capacity building including design and management of capacity building programs, scale-up strategies, research, and development of courses and curriculums. She recently led an online training program for teachers at UNESCO MGIEP which has been taken by over 90,000 teachers in 1.5 years and has been adopted by the education departments of five countries. She has designed and reviewed over 17 face to face and online curriculums covering over 500+ hours of learning content for 10+ organisations including international organisations such as UNESCO MGIEP, UNFPA, and Search for Common Ground. She has the ability to craft designs that captivate and inspire learners, and elevate their competencies. Her trainings and curriculums have built capacities of over a million people in in India, Maldives, Nigeria, Bhutan and South Africa.

Swati is a communications consultant, passionate storyteller, and facilitator, with rich experience spanning over 8 years. Her work revolves around issues of human rights, gender justice and social justice. Throughout her journey, she’s had the privilege of engaging in diverse projects that have shaped her expertise - from managing a vibrant community radio station in Ahmedabad to crafting impactful social media and communications strategies for various NGOs and designing and facilitating engaging modules on audio-visual storytelling. With a foundation in theatre and performing arts, she holds a deep belief in the creation of inclusive, participatory, and just spaces. These values have consistently guided her work, infusing it with a sense of purpose and impact. Currently based in Pune, Maharashtra, her focus lies on narrative building and storytelling, as she collaborates with organisations, individuals, and spaces to drive meaningful and transformative change.
